There's many competing/conflicting definitions (and "waves") of feminism, thus my decision to use the term "gender equality" ideology past the second paragraph instead of feminism beyond it being convenient clickbait in the title.

Let's dispose of the term "want" (as in conscious desire) for a moment and think about hindbrain-induced mating behaviors. Then there might be some truth to that statement, in an evolutionary sense.
