My husband has finished school, and is casting resumes about, to see if we can get a bite. The local market appears to be saturated (typical, when your area has a well-rated vocational program that churns out every year, more grads than the local area needs...).
One thing the last year of masks and lockdown craziness has done for us, is very neatly narrow down which places we're looking at as possibilities. We can, right away, strike out any states that went through full-on lockdowns/mask insanity. I don't care how pretty it is or how great the job market may be in his field: that's not a state government we care to live with!
Sometimes you just have to look at public outbreaks of insanity as *free information* and make use of it.
