Yeah especially today. Back then when everything was pagan I suspect this was less of an issue, since in paganism most of the actual religion is the tribe's customs and ways. The Gods are there as personified forces of nature, along with a plethora of ancestral and nature spirits. We've now had 2000+ years of ideological religion, and we're conditioned to see religion as being all about human concerns projected onto the cosmos.
