Many thanks for your thoughtful response! Personally I would tend to agree that a human can discern the merit of the claims of a human having connection to the divine by the actions of said human. Still, I tend to doubt that the inner side of the experience is quite so simple or linear. For instance, we might consult Luke 15:7 in which Jesus says "I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance." That is, it seems to me that enantiodromia can play an outsized part.
